Ex-university library copy. i-lii, 1-333 pages. Hardcover: H 16.25cm x L 10.5cm. Original brown patterned cloth bords but with inelegant black tape over spine with overlap into adjacent board margins; handwritten white ink title-author-shelf# on spine tape; board corners worn. Old tape reinforcements at interior hinges. Appears to be missing ffep; remnant of date due sheet on torn and creased ffly recto; University of Alabama Library bookplate on front pastedown which partially lifts up revealing underneath a green bookplate with printed text "Presented to the University of Alabama" followed by ink inscription "Rev. B. Manly | Tuscaloosa" (Manly served as the second president of the University of Alabama from 1837-1855). Library stamps and markings on title leaf (iii-iv), page v of Preface, 25-26, and 333 with others perhaps to be discovered upon a more careful perusal. Varied interior foxing/toning. Binding remains fairly firm noting aforementioned repairs to hinges. Foldout charts between pages 262-263 and 268-269; five foldout school plan plates between pages 308-309.
