1st 1837 HB Longman Rees Orme Full blue/green gilt tooled morocco leather binding with raised bands to spine; binding has wear to corners and and also considerable wear to spine; inside marbled endpapers and book plate of the leading 19th century physician Augustus Burke Shepherd the Dean of St Marys Hospital; foxing to prelims and some slight foxing to prints - but not in the image area; overall this is a well worn if superior copy of this interesting title; photographs available on request.
