About the Author

William Baird is an avid history buff and amateur genealogist. A desire to put some flesh on the bones led to The Story Teller, about his Irish family, Dear Rita, a compilation of his father's WW2 letters home and Unexpected Journeys, based on some of his English and ancestors involved in the Salem Witch Trials and the American Civil War. His newest work traces the history of a coal mining family from Scotland to America, and is based on his Scots family. Mr. Baird was born in Cleveland, Ohio and currently lives in Florida.  He is the father of two and the happy grandfather of two.
