27x19.8 cm, pp. [1-4] 5-72 [73: printer's imprint] [74: blank], color illustrations, color frontispiece map, original pictorial yapp-edged black wrappers printed in purple, silver and gold (cover illustration by W. H. Bull), black endpapers, stapled. Later edition. A very elaborate promotional work prepared by the staff of SUNSET, THE MAGAZINE OF THE WEST, first published in 1905. See Rocq 17160. The inner surface of the fold over fore-edge flap is repaired with tape, 10 mm chip from lower spine end, a very good copy. The delicate construction paper-like covers are easily cracked or chipped; this is a much better than average copy of this book. (#166934).
