ROAR Volume 11 (11)

Innovation at its core is merely the introduction of something new. It can be an inventor coming up with a new gadget, but it can also be the creation of a piece of art, the thrill of discovery, a unique plan, the new application of old technology, or trying something new-to-you. But while risk can bring reward, it can also bring failure. Not all changes are good, and not all consequences can be foreseen. These fifteen stories explore innovation in its myriad of forms, from invention to discovery, the thrill of exploration to the bitter sting of failure. So join a god in introductory computer classes. Journey with a horse as he struggles to invent a new type of boat lift. Blast off to space with a foxhound cosmonaut. Compose music with a teenage opossum. Experiment on a mysterious hole with a village of ravens. Or just sit back and fight digital dragons in virtual reality. Innovation is what you make of it.
