This Edition of Perry's Royal Standard English, is the Fourth Worcester Edition. Published by Isiah Thomas, the famous Early American Printer, who later founded and Incorporated the American Antiquarian Society, and was its first President (1812). 594 pp. Recent full mottled brown leather with gilt rules and lettering on the spine, some foxing throughout. The last 20 or so pp. are disappearing around the edges. It reads 1788 on the title page so that is the date the binder put on the spine. But in the back there is an Appendix that is dated 1796. Still nice piece of Early Americana, and Isaiah Thomas, as well. Handsome. Seller Inventory # pe.1164
