Fair condition. The front cover shows significant wear with heavy scuffing and soiling across the whole surface, along with cracks and surface loss in several areas, and the corners are worn through. The wire spine binding is heavily damaged and fraying with the coils partly exposed. The plain blue back cover shows heavy soiling and edge wear. Interior pages are yellowed and browned with age and some show water staining or discolouration, most noticeably the hoist instruction card. A loose insert reference card is present but is significantly stained and worn. Interior pages are intact and readable despite the ageing. No library markings of any kind were found.

Every book has a story — but it only means something when a child lives it. Why Papa Duck? I was "Uncle Duck" to my nieces and nephews for years — duck pictures fill my office, Mallards are my favorite. When my grandson arrived last year, the family asked what he'd call me.
