RUBANK ELEMENTARY METHODS - CELLO Format: Paperback

Rubank Elementary Method - Cello is a cello method and sheet music collection from the widely recognized Rubank series, edited by Sylvan D. Ward. Created for individual cello instruction and like-instrument class study, this volume combines technical exercises, musicianship development, solos, duets, and repertoire in a single resource designed specifically for cello players.

This comprehensive method brings together scales, arpeggios, technical studies, articulation studies, and musicianship exercises alongside a selection of familiar melodies and classical favorites. The content is organized to support regular practice while encouraging attention to tone, phrasing, technique, and musical understanding through a balanced variety of musical material.

The inclusion of technical work alongside recognizable repertoire creates a practical resource for lessons, ensemble participation, and personal study. Solos and duets provide opportunities to explore musical expression and collaboration, while focused studies reinforce essential aspects of cello playing. The result is a method book that combines foundational musical concepts with engaging performance material.

The collection contains 22 musical selections in addition to the instructional content and studies found throughout the book. No online media is included.
