Extensively illustrated with wood engravings, including an elephant chasing a hunter, who has climbed up a palm tree, which the elephant is trying to pull out of the ground. Woodbridge includes some feisty observations, such as, "There are probably 100,000 Indians in the United States, and 300,000 in their territories.
