RUN WIN LEAD : A Student's Guide to becoming a Successful Political Leader - The Thinking Tree

If your teen has big ideas, strong opinions, or a desire to make a difference in the world, you may be looking for a way to guide that energy into something meaningful.

The Run Win Lead was created for students who are ready to grow into confident, capable leaders—but need a place to start. This creative, hands-on leadership workbook gives them the space to explore their ideas, build real skills, and begin thinking like a leader in a way that feels natural and engaging.

Instead of memorizing facts or following a rigid program, this book focuses on learning through doing. It gently introduces leadership training through real-world activities that help students discover their strengths, find their voice, and learn how to lead with purpose.

As they work through the book, students will:
• Write their own leadership bio and reflect on what makes them unique.
• Study inspiring leaders and what made them effective.
• Practice public speaking in a low-pressure, encouraging way.
• Learn how to organize a team and work with others.
• Explore the basics of running a campaign.
• Complete a final project where they step into the role of a leader.

This leadership workbook is especially helpful for homeschool families who want something more meaningful than a traditional curriculum. It works well for independent study, group learning, or as part of a broader leadership development experience for teens.

It’s simple to use, flexible to adapt, and designed to grow with your student.

More than anything, this book is about helping young people believe that their ideas matter—and that they can learn how to lead with courage, clarity, and purpose.

If you’re looking for a way to introduce leadership training in a way that feels inspiring instead of overwhelming, this is a gentle and practical place to begin.
