The Rabbit in the Moon (Paperback)

When a child hesitates, avoids, or worries about trying, they do not need more pressure. They need a story that helps them feel safe enough to begin.

The Rabbit in the Moon is a rhyming children’s picture book about courage, big feelings, and taking one small brave step at a time.

Yabbit the Rabbit would rather hide than try. New things feel too big, and “What if I mess up?” sounds louder than curiosity. But as his journey unfolds, Yabbit discovers something children deeply need to learn:

Courage does not mean feeling fearless. It means trying anyway, one tiny brave step at a time.

Perfect for children ages 3-8, this comforting bedtime story helps kids:

• understand worry, fear, and other big feelings
• recognize hesitation and avoidance in a safe, non-judgmental way
• build confidence through small, realistic steps
• see that bravery can be quiet, imperfect, and real
• begin hard things without needing to feel fully ready

Written in soothing rhyme and paired with warm, luminous illustrations, The Rabbit in the Moon is ideal for:

• kids who worry about trying new things
• children who freeze, stall, or avoid when something feels hard
• bedtime routines and calming read-aloud moments
• parents, teachers, counselors, and caregivers supporting emotional growth

Whether your child struggles with fear of mistakes, anxiety about new experiences, or that overwhelmed pause before starting, this story offers a shared language for courage, confidence, and emotional resilience.

A heartfelt picture book for families who want to help children take their first brave step, even when the moon feels far away.
