M?rz 1962". Eduard Alexandrowitsch Baron v. Falz-Fein (1912-2018) war deutsch-russischer Herkunft, seine Familie floh nach der Oktoberrevolution ins Exil nach Berlin, seit 1945 lebte er in Liechtenstein. Falz-Fein erwarb sich gro?e Verdienste um die olympische Bewegung in Liechtenstein, das 1936 (noch ohne Mitgliedschaft im IOC) durch seine Bem hungen erstmals an einer Olympiade teilnehmen konnte, und war 1935 ma?geblich an der Gr ndung des dortigen Olympischen Komitees beteiligt. Er war einige Zeit dessen Vizepr?sident, daneben Gr nder und Pr?sident der Liechtensteinischen Radsport- und Bobverb?nde. Als Funktion?r und als Sportjournalist war er an 16! Olympischen Spielen beteiligt und selbst als Sportler im Rad- und Motorsport aktiv. Richard von Frankenberg (1922-1973) war ein deutscher Motorsportler, Rennfahrer, Motorsportjournalist und Fernsehmoderator. Er begann schon kurz vor dem Krieg mit dem Motorradrennsport, wurde 1942 aber zur Wehrmacht eingezogen, 1944 desertierte er w?hrend der Ardennenoffensive zu den Briten, wo seine antinazistische Einstellung ihm zur Arbeit im deutschsprachigen Dienst der BBC verhalf. Nach dem Krieg war er auf Porsche im Rennsport und bei Rallyes erfolgreich und geh?rte von 1953-60 zur Porsche-Werksmannschaft. Nebenbei war er als Sportjournalist und -redakteur, aktiv u.a. f r die Zeitschrift "Auto, Motor und Sport", und ver?ffentlichte zahlreiche B cher zum Motorsport und zur Automobilgeschichte, aber unter Pseudonymen wie Alexander Borelius und Herbert A. Quint auch einige B cher zum Zweiten Weltkrieg. Ab Mitte der 1960er-Jahre war er auch als Fernseh-Moderator t?tig. Einen Unfall bei einem Rennen, als er 1956 mit 180 km/h aus einer Steilkurve der Berliner Avus geschleudert wurde berlebte er mit viel Gl ck zwar, dennoch starb er 1973 bei einem nicht von ihm verschuldeten Verkehrsunfall auf der Autobahn bei Stuttgart.
