Ferdinand Schmutzer (* 21. Mai 1870 in Wien; ? 26. Oktober 1928 ebenda) war ein österreichischer Druckgrafiker, Fotograf und Porträtmaler. 1897 erfolgte sein Durchbruch als Wiens begehrtester Porträtradierer. Die wichtigsten Auftraggeber waren zugleich Freunde und Gäste der Familie: großbürgerliche Finanzleute und Industrielle, Vertreter der Politik und Diplomatie, Kunstschaffende, Künstler und deren Mäzene aus dem Kreis der Wiener Sezession, deren Mitglied Schmutzer seit 1901 war. 1914-1917 war Schmutzer Präsident der Wiener Secession.- Seitlich u. oben knapprandig# Original artist graphic; "The Secret Disclosed" etching signed by the artist!
