Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) hat in den vergangenen Jahren stark an Bedeutung gewonnen. Aufgrund mangelnder Erfahrungen wurden jedoch erst sehr wenige RFID-Projekte umgesetzt.

Sebastian Weigert analysiert den Einsatz der RFID-Technologie anhand des Beispiels der Automobilindustrie. Ziel ist der Entwurf eines Zukunftsbildes, das den Einsatz von RFID in einem F�nf- bis Zehnjahreszeitraum beleuchtet. Aktuelle Trends im RFID-Umfeld werden dabei ebenso ber�cksichtigt wie die technologische Weiterentwicklung von RFID zu RFID/Sensorik.

Sebastian Weigert hat nach einem Bachelor-Studium in Business Administration am Babson College in Massachusetts, USA, und zahlreichen Praktika im Automobil-, IT- und Finanzdienstleistungsbereich seinen Master-Titel in Financial Management und Electronic Commerce an der Universit�t Augsburg erworben. Er ist jetzt als Analyst bei Accenture in M�nchen t�tig.
