Radiometric Tracking Techniques for Deep-Space Navigation focuses on a broad array of technologies and concepts developed over the last four decades to support radio navigation on interplanetary spacecraft. Catherine L. Thornton received a B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Vanderbilt University in 1960, with a major in mathematics. She received an M.S. in mathematics from Northwestern University in 1961 and a Ph.D in engineering from UCLA in 1976.
