Synopsis
Billy Coker has survived eleven months in Vietnam, but will he survive his last thirty days?
He’s perfected cynicism in Nam. It’s his forte, and Billy has raised it to its highest form. And why this St. Sebastian medal around his neck has meant so much seems silly. After all, it was given to him by a little fat girl in high school. With friends like him, Bonnie Jo Parker probably never had a chance.
A love story, a war story, a story of hope and redemption, Raeford's MVP is by turns deadly serious and side-splittingly funny throughout. Award-winning author Rick DeStefanis introduces readers to the world of a soldier who, if he survives, faces the futureless void of a life without meaning. His only hope is to make sense of all he has experienced or perhaps find someone special he lost along the way.
