Discarded clothes, sewing remnants, even old blankets--recycling materials you have available or find at sales is part of the fun of rag rug-making. The other enjoyable part is the techniques--from hooking to prodding to braiding strips. Put them to work to great effect with a wide selection of designs in the Broken Glass, Star-Burst, Bright and Breezy, Edge of the River, Blossom Time rugs. You're not limited to rugs, however! Choose from a wall hanging, a cushion cover, and a pin (you'll make this environmentally friendly piece of jewelry from paper scraps!). Plus: information on adapting design ideas and experimenting with a variety of different materials. 96 pages (all in color), 7 1/2 x 10 1/2.
