There is a distinct need to provide railway enthusiasts with something that goes beyond the straightforward guide and this is exactly what the Rail Guide intends to do. This fantastic guide puts all the information that the enthusiast will need on a day-by-day basis into a single volume. Apart from number sequences, the book also includes the legalities as to how, where, and when enthusiast activity is legal and illegal, and the thorny position of photography; a Loco shed/works guide providing addresses, contact details, and the types of work being undertaken for each of the depots currently in use; information about how to obtain shed permits for visits; maps with contact details for each train operating company and information about services and stock operated; and listings of perfect photographic locations. The book will be illustrated in color throughout, and the depth and quality information will be more important and sought after by enthusiasts nationwide.
