Illustrated with a frontispiece and many in-text black-and-white images. A collection of talks on locomotives, including commentary on Brunel, box tunnels, maintaining the track, bridges, gradients, and more. Loco's of "The Royal Road", 1936. Illustrated with a folding colour frontispiece and many in-text black-and-white images. A collection of talks on the Royal railway lines, including commentary on the earliest locomotives, standard engines, the mighty "Kings", engine components, classification, and more. In the original pictorial paper binding. Externally, sound with wear and light chipping to the extremities. Light sunning to the spine with the odd small mark to the boards. Small closed tears to the head and tail of the spine resulting in minor loss. A large closed tear to the rear joint of Track Topics, with the front joint split. Internally, generally firmly bound.
