About the Author
Elder Gene R. Cook of the First Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has served as a mission president in Uruguay and Paraguay and as executive secretary to the First Council of the Seventy. He is the author of several books, including Receiving Answers to Prayers, Living by the Power of Faith, and Raising Up a Family to the Lord, and has published several audio talks. He and his wife, Janelle Schlink Cook, are the parents of eight children.
