© 1969: A stand-alone novel by John Boyd. 1st printing of 1975 edition:- Synopsis: Kevin O'Hara, a lusty Irishman with the gift of the blarney, and John Adams, an Alabama boy with an evangelical streak, should never have been sent on a voyage of space exploration together - but they were and landed on the planet Harlech where an advanced culture is governed by autonomous universities. Their efforts to 'humanize' the inhabitants suffer constant distraction from the females of the species who are not only the right shape but very, very friendly:- Review(s): "For humour, originality and action, his science-fiction novels are hard to beat. 'The Pollinators Of Eden' was a prime example and this is a worthy successor" -Manchester Evening News / "Wit and invention make this tale a highly enjoyable experience" - Evening Standard:- (original cost £0.60).

Review
"The Pollinators of Eden, The Rakehells of Heaven, and Sex and the High Command, were satires with an intriguing sexual quality to them and are well worth your time." -- Scott A. Cupp, SF Signal

Terms of sale
All books offered for sale are complete and sound (any missing / loose pages or cracked / broken spines will be mentioned in the book description). Our book-seller images are of, not just the listed edition / print, but also of the actual book you will be buying (the cover collages are made from 3 individual scans of each book that are then displayed as a wrap-around image - the books themselves are NOT damaged in any way by this process). Book sizes, where given, are to the nearest ¼". Each book has then been graded according to its condition, taking into account the degree of creasing to the covers and/or spine, presence of scuff marks or tears, any pen marks or inscriptions & any page tanning. We try to be as fair & accurate as possible with the grading of our books, but if you are unhappy with any classification of condition please let us know as soon as possible. If, for any reason at all, you are unhappy with your purchase, we offer a no quibble, money back guarantee within 30 days of purchase. We also welcome any feedback or comments that you may have as we are always trying to maintain our high levels of customer service.
