Ralph and the Anger Volcano

Ralph is having trouble because he can't keep his anger volcano under control - and it’s erupting everywhere! His mom talks to him about how other feelings can fuel the eruption, and they talk about strategies for helping manage his anger. The author is a child therapist who works with children who have trouble managing their emotions, and wrote this book to help kids understand better how the emotion of anger works. She teamed up with her daughter, an artist, to create this story. This book is an educational book about emotional awareness, helping to explain how anger develops and how to help keep it regulated. The main premise is that anger is the emotion that others see, but that it is fueled by other hidden emotions, and talking about those emotions helps keep our anger under control. The book also talks about anger-controlling techniques that are backed up by science. About the Authors: Barbara Tantrum is a child therapist specializing in trauma.
