Random

Random tells the gripping story of the disappearance of 14-year-old Eleanor McKenna, the precocious and accomplished only child of a prominent family in Minneapolis. Every effort to find Eleanor is met with failure. Days go by and her family becomes desperate. She is gone.

Time passes. The family's desperation turns to resignation. Ezekiel Orendel is the one person who refuses to let go. His search for some trace of Eleanor forces him into a dark and harrowing world from which many children never return. He is Eleanor's only hope. Who is Ezekiel Orendel? Will he succeed where so many fail? Will he bring Eleanor home? Or will she be lost forever?

The anguish found in these questions for the McKennas occurs all too frequently for real people and real families. Many who go missing are never found, never reunited, never able to resume the lives that should have been theirs. Eleanor McKenna's story could easily be theirs.
