The purpose of the book is to prepare Saints before Rapture happens and also to indicate to the Left Behind who will be saved during the tribulation period of Matthew 24 - 25; Daniel 9:27; Zachariah 8-14; Ezekiel 38-39; Psalm 83; Revelation 6 - 19; Jude 14-15; 2 Peter 3:3-10; Daniel 2:44-45; Luke 21:36-37; 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18 that they will still be Hope because the Omnipresence and Eternal HOLY SPIRIT who will still be completing the work of Redemption. The only sad part is that the Left Behind will pay a price for their salvation through their own blood after Rapture. The Hope is that during persecution, the HOLY SPIRIT will give them strength to stand the pain of being martyrs. Revelation 6:9-11 says these people are called "the Martyrs or Dying for their faith".
