Hinges remain in good condition and text block remains bound well. Light markings. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. A scarce and nicely bound collection of mathematical treatises by writer and antiquarian James Orchard Halliwell-Phillips (1820-1889). He was infamous for making scrapbooks of 16th Century book pages, and had been accused of various thefts of manuscripts from Trinity College, Cambridge.
