Vol III only (of four) : "Electrical and Magnetical Experiments". A lovely copy of the 3rd volume of Hooper's four volume work. Snugly bound in period tree calf with morocco labels to spine; board edges tooled in gilt. Twenty hand colored folding copperplate engravings are complete and very neat with three of the plates starting at the front edge from misfolding and showing some soiling and supericial closed tears to the margins where they extruded from the fore edge. Endpages complete and unmarred. Joints quite sound; surfaces bright and neat with no skinning or rubbing. Just mild bumping and trace rub to corners and only mild scattered foxing to the text. Quite handsome, with no repairs or restorations; VG++ or better.
