Joints rubbed, but not broken, extremities worn with a few small spots of surface loss and some cracking to the spines. Prelims darkened with light scattered foxing throughout. All half titles and plates present and in very good condition with some slight toning at the edges. Overall, a very good set. Hooper's work serves as both an educational resource and a source of amusement and presents a wide array of experiments and tricks involving physics, mathematics, and sleight of hand particularly card tricks to illustrate scientific principles in an accessible and engaging manner.
