Ravenloft: The Rising

When Dr. Rowan Ashford arrives in the quiet coastal town of Winter Creek to begin a new chapter of her life, she expects little more than a demanding job and a peaceful place to call home. Instead, she awakens an ancient magic that has been waiting generations for her return.

A mysterious mark appears on Rowan's hand, her dormant power begins to surface, and a strange connection draws her toward Ezra Hawthorne-a powerful witch who can feel her magic as if it were his own. Their bond is more than coincidence. It is tied to an ancient bloodline, a forgotten promise, and a darkness buried beneath Winter Creek.

At the center of it all stands Ravenloft, a living manor bound to old magic and the secrets of the Hawthorne family. Beneath it lies the Heartstone, while somewhere deeper still, the imprisoned Architect is awakening. He has waited generations to reclaim the power connected to Rowan's bloodline-and he will use anyone necessary to achieve it.

As Rowan learns the truth about her heritage, she discovers that her greatest strength may also make her the Architect's greatest threat. With Ezra and the others beside her, she must confront forces that have been manipulating her family for generations, while Jacob's growing allegiance to the Architect threatens to tear their world apart.

Ancient magic is rising. Old alliances are being tested. And the fate of Winter Creek may depend on whether Rowan can embrace the power she never knew she possessed.

The past has awakened. The bloodline has returned. And the rising has begun.
