A Raven's Prayer

A Raven’s Prayer is a sweeping tale of faith, power, and survival in the kingdom of Northumbria, 710 AD.

The Roman Church is tightening its grip, determined to crush Celtic devotion and drive out the last traces of the old pagan ways. Bishop Wilfrid rises as a ruthless champion of this cause, while the young King Osred rules with cruelty and secrecy. Even the revered scholar Bede must tread carefully as tides of faith and politics collide.

When Seoswith, a spirited young woman from a quiet village, is seized by Osred, she is thrust into a darkness she could never have imagined. Her only hope lies in Aldwin, an intuitive monk whose pursuit of truth leads him into a kingdom brimming with treachery, bandits, and holy men who have forgotten their mercy.

As paths entwine and secrets unravel, Seoswith and Aldwin must confront the corrupt heart of power itself. To survive, they will need more than faith. They will need courage, cunning, and the will to defy kings.

Steeped in history and rich with atmosphere, A Raven’s Prayer is perfect for fans of Bernard Cornwell, George R. R. Martin, and historical epics where loyalty, betrayal, and forbidden faith shape the fate of a kingdom.
