- A comprehensive, step-by-step plan for read alouds in every subject. Molly Ness gives PreK-8 teachers a three-step planning process for read alouds that build literacy development, content-area knowledge, and social-emotional learning, every day, in every subject.
- Grounded in the science of reading. Explains the research-backed role read alouds play in the science of reading, showing why the practice has been fading from classrooms and what that absence costs students' comprehension, vocabulary, and verbal reasoning.
- Built for every grade band and every subject area. Provides current read-aloud research and trends across elementary, middle, and high school, with age-specific tips for social-emotional learning and cognition in every content area, not just the literacy block.
- From a leading voice in reading research. Written by Dr. Molly Ness, a former classroom teacher, reading researcher, and 16-year teacher educator at Fordham University, whose work focuses on reading comprehension and dyslexia.
- From Solution Tree, a practical companion for literacy-focused classrooms. Complements Solution Tree's broader science-of-reading resources for teachers, curriculum designers, and literacy coaches building comprehensive PreK-8 literacy instruction.
