My Reading Record for Key Stage 1

My Reading Record for Key Stage 1 helps schools to ensure effective two-way communication with adults reading with children at home. Structured diary pages allow reading to be logged and specific issues concerning the child's progress to be recorded. Children and adults can take an active role in reading and comprehension using the checklists and activities to monitor reading vocabulary and ensure that reading is as enjoyable and rewarding as possible. This book provides:

• a helpful introduction for adults about how to use this book
• a Tricky words I can read checklist to track reading vocabulary
• a Phonics checklist to track progress with Letters and Sounds
• Book review templates to encourage children to record their opinions on books and give them a star rating
• an About me section for the child to personalise.
