The Real Facts of Life (Paperback)

Paperback. Sumano Tong gives a detailed survey intending to uncover three key characteristics in the everyday objects and situations around us: impermanence, suffering, and selflessness. Failure to recognise these three characteristics is what is identified by the Buddha as the major cause of human suffering. Sumano Tong's short 'exercise in wise reflection' should help readers appreciate the humble, practical truth of the Buddha's ancient wisdom. The Buddha taught that all conditioned things have impermanence, unsatisfactoriness, and selflessness. Ignorance of these leads to wrong perceptions, actions, and accumulation of karma, keeping us bound to the cycle of birth and death.
