About the Author
My books are all about answering hard questions that you have about medical things bugging you. We're all different (like snow flakes) so only you know if I'm speaking to you. But know that I believe in the Hormone theory of Aging (look it up). You get pituitary problems (where all hormones are controlled) and BOOM! bad things happen. Most docs mean well, but have no way to tie this stuff into what is ailing you RIGHT THEN and NOW. I teach you WHY those hormones are important, and why your symptoms matter. I also ALWAYS reference everything because I believe I am creating a medical legal document and educate large groups of physicians and the public with these books -- I better be able to back it up. Helps I've been practicing 28 years also. So you know -- I'm nothing special -- just a doctor who's NOT forgotten how to reason and question (annoyingly I do it all the time) and I am EXCESSIVELY curious. I always ask why (i.e. why is your testosterone low? Why did your progesterone drop?) My first book was a textbook (700+ pages of pure ol' fun) I co-authored on preventive medicine, and I tend to use common sense approaches to address miserable chronic medical problems -- and then I like to show where in the medical literature peer-reviewed studies and research supports everything I say. I think I know my stuff (uhh I better -- ever try talking to audiences of 5000 people -- mostly physicians? And then answer ALL their questions for 6 hours afterwards?) and I LOVE to speak publicly and do it often (2-3 times a week). I've been lucky enough to do speaking tours all around the world including Japan, Australia, and almost every major city in the USA. I usually educate physicians but now I'm trying to make my books (and myself) more available to the public and try to aim right at the heart of some pretty contentious issues in medicine -- fibromyalgia, migraine headaches, hot flashes, night sweats, and men's low testosterone.
