In the Realm of the Thorn Star

When the wind died everyone knew that the dark days past would only get darker. The Thorn Star's grip on Assantia is tightening. All the wizards who refused to convert are dead or in hiding, her Carracks rule the skies, and only a few renegade kingdoms remain free.

But secrets thrive in the darkness.

Jandel, the seer, is conspiring.

Catalydon, the agent, seethes with ambition.

Sarine, the assassin, serves two masters.

All Sebastian wants to do is fish with his friend, the Birdmouth, Bugle, and keep as far away from trouble as possible. The world he knows has always been one of hunger and survival, of war creeping ever closer.

But he has a secret too. His life has been a lie. If he is to survive, no one can know his truth.
