Reason and Common Sense: An Enquiry into Some Problems of Philosophy

First published in 1951, Reason and Common Sense by R.G. Mayor offers a profound exploration of philosophical questions surrounding knowledge, perception, mind, matter, and ethics. Divided into three parts―Philosophic Doubt, Mind and Matter, and Reason and Common Sense―the book examines topics such as sense perception, idealism, the mind-body relationship, realism, and metaphysical belief. With clarity and depth, Mayor provides a critical inquiry into the interplay between reason and common sense in understanding reality. This is a must read for scholars of Philosophy.
