For This Reason: Devotions for Couples Preparing for Marriage and the Already Married Offering God's Encouragement for Your Life Togeth

Jesus tells us that a holy love is sacrificial, forgiving, and unconditional. He knew that loving like this would not be easy, but he did promise us that if we pursued his love, our hearts, our minds, and our spirits would be transformed. This is the essence of relationship: a love that changes everything.

It should come as no surprise, then, that when we enter into a marriage covenant, our greatest commandment is to love one another. But how do we put that love into action when life gets tough? How do we remember to sacrifice for one another when the outside world demands everything we've got? According to Gary Fehring, it always comes down to Jesus.

In just nine short devotionals, For This Reason challenges new and experienced marriages with holy scripture, reminding couples that a marriage centered on godly principles always strives for contentment, surrender, sacrifice, forgiveness, and humility. Author Gary Fehring's poignant questions at the end of each devotional have been carefully crafted to expose the fears and dreams of each reader, and he always points back to prayer as a way to navigate our way through the paths of life. For This Reason is a Jesus-centered devotional with a timeless simplicity and relevance that will consistently encourage and challenge couples throughout any phase in their marriages.
