About this Item

Paperback. This is a powerful story of success, written by a woman who, as a girl, joined her sharecropper family in the cottonfields of Mississippi and quickly learned about racism. She experienced changes in education as the Band-aid of integration made its weak attempt to overcome discrimination of African-Americans and later fled to the northwest where she endured an abusive marriage and continued discrimination in the work world. The light of her life began with the birth of her son, Carlos, a special needs child that requires her full attention and care. This brave mother soldiered on, increasing her education and work experience - and learning all the way. She used that knowledge to become a successful businesswoman, then a radio show host, and recently the CEO of her own company, Divine Divas Ministries LLC. Her mission today is to help other women shed the vestments of negativity and establish their identity through their own careers. The author has a bold belief in the power of God and his miracles which have helped her survive and grow. She tells all about them in this book as she explains The Reason Why.
