Review
Danielle Fitzsimmons is from a very rich family. She is a beautiful, well educated socialite involved in her family's real estate business in a minimal capacity. One night, Danielle argues with her date, and hastily she gets out of the car, in the middle of the street, in an unsavory part of town and finds herself stranded. She searches for a phone or a taxi and finds a man fixing his motorcycle, and he offers her a ride. Danielle throws caution to the wind and accepts his offer, and she has the best time of her life! Gabe Tyler is dressed in black leather but Danielle is not afraid of him. They hit it off and the electricity between them is hot from the moment they meet. Gabe tells Danielle that he just arrived in town, leading her to believe he is not from LA. This is the first of many impressions that Danielle has of Gabe that are misleading. She offers him a job, he accepts and they make a terrific team as they get the deals done that Malcolm Reed, her father's golden boy, was supposed to have worked on. Malcolm is always undermining Danielle, but with Gabe at her side, she flourishes, both in her business acumen, and in her personal life. Gabe has a mystique about him because he has secrets, and if Danielle knew who he really is, he wouldn't stand a chance in her business or personal life. But Gabe is so attracted to Danielle, and she to him that they cannot resist each other. And knowing that Malcolm is out to destroy her professionally, Gabe concedes to his better judgment and stays by Danielle's side to 'protect' her job and ultimately, her life. But the time comes and Gabe knows the game is up. Danielle is strong enough professionally to meet her next and biggest challenge without him. Yet when the day arrives, Gabe is there and not as her associate. Danielle learns his secret - this rebel has a cause and he usually get what he wants, but will it cost him Danielle? Danielle and Gabe are both rebels, but can they overcome their differences and unite for their common cause?Wonderful story with hot and sassy dialogue! These characters heat up the pages and everything sizzles! Kim Hansen has a well written, terrific book! Rebel With A Cause is a spicy romance amidst the background of big business! Very exciting! Ms. Hansen starts the mystery and the sexual tension from the beginning and doesn't let up till the very end! My daughter asked me why I had a smile on my face while reading this book and I said, because it's good!Gloria Miller -- Copyright © 1994-97 Literary Times, Inc.
