Printed receipt finished in ink manuscript dated September 1880 to "Messrs. A. Covalt & Co." from the Philadelphia bookseller Hollowbush & Carey. Includes a brief blurb noting the firm's goods, which range from hardware and wallpaper to blank books, photo albums, stationery and checks. The receipt itself is, of course, a nice advertisement for their products. Measures 10.5" by 8", verso blank. Very good. Minor toning, short tears. Letter folds with some dust soiling.
