An incredibly scarce title, which aims to preserve the recipes recorded in a small notebook by Isabella Railton beginning in 1815, and carried on by family and friends following her death.A limited edition copy - one of only 600 copies ever printed, printed on Abbey Mills text paper, of which this is number 472.Bound in full morocco, with smart gilt motif to the front board.Published by The Grimsay Press - a small publishing house which began operating the year this title was published, and is concerned with the preservation and reproduction of text of historical and local interest, that have otherwise fallen out of publication.This text also features an insightful introduction on the women behind the entries.
