About the Author
Jeffrey Albaugh is a board-certified Advanced Practice Urology Clinical Nurse Specialist and Director of the NorthShore University Sexual Health Clinic, Evanston, IL. He has cared of thousands of patients with sexual dysfunction and prostate cancer for more than 18 years in urology and over 26 years of patient care. Dr. Albaugh specializes in treating men, women, and couples with sexual dysfunction. He also sees men undergoing treatment for prostate cancer. Prior to working at NorthShore University, Dr. Albaugh practiced at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, for almost 25 years. In addition, he led the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center Sexual Health Clinic in Chicago for over 4 years. In addition to his many publications in peer-reviewed journals and chapters in books on sexual dysfunction, Jeff has participated as a national consensus panel member on sexual dysfunction. He has been quoted in media and publications as an expert in the treatment of sexual dysfunction, including Martha Stewart s Whole Living, WGN News, CBS 2 News, The New York Times and Chicago Tribune Red Eye. He is the only nurse at Northwestern to ever win two nursing excellence awards and Northwestern s One of Our Finest award for exceptional patient care. He is also an international speaker who has lectured on sexual health all over the United States and in Ireland, Spain, and New Zealand. Jeff completed his PhD in research focused on sexual dysfunction from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He received his master s from North Park University, Chicago, and his bachelors from DePaul University, Chicago. Dr. Albaugh s research in sexual health has been funded by many sources including the National Institutes of Health.
