Reconnecting With Your Feelings After Abuse: A Survivor's Guide to Healing Your Emotional Processing Cycle and Reclaiming Your Self

Abuse doesn’t just wound your heart — it rewires your nervous system. The very emotions meant to guide and protect you become distorted, silenced, or turned against you. Sadness feels unsafe. Anger feels dangerous. Even joy comes with guilt.

This book is for survivors who want their feelings back.

Written by a survivor of long-term emotional abuse, Reconnecting With Your Feelings After Abuse offers a clear, lived-experience roadmap for rebuilding trust in your own emotions. Instead of being ruled by survival reflexes like suppression, fawning, or dissociation, you’ll learn how to recondition your emotional processing cycle so that it works for you again.

Inside, you’ll discover:

• What healthy emotional processing actually looks like
• How abuse hijacks and short-circuits that natural cycle
• The 5-step framework for rewiring old reflexes into healthy responses
• Practical examples, tools, and reflections you can apply in everyday life
• Why relapse isn’t failure, but part of the rewiring process

This isn’t theory. It’s lived experience — grounded in research, recovery practice, and the hard work of finding freedom after abuse.

Your emotions are not broken. They are waiting to guide you home to yourself.

💛 Begin your reconnection today — and take back the clarity, presence, and trust that abuse tried to steal.
