A scarce pseudonymous satire on Reconstruction in verse, written from the first-person perspective of Andrew Johnson, railing against the states where his Reconstruction efforts have struggled. Comitatus has not been identified. The author also wrote a fictitious diatribe against Charles Dickens' second visit to America (a reading tour beginning in November 1867) under the same "Skaggadahunk" imprint, entitled "An Epistle to 'Boz' Alias Charles Dickens.".
