See photos for condition details. Hardcover, pale green cloth boards decorated in gilt on front and spine, top edge of textblock is also gilt. Exterior shows minor spotting and soiling along with edge and corner bumps/wear. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues at boards. Pages are toned due to age and foxing is present, with the worst being around the illustrations. The title page is quite foxed due to reaction with the tissue guard for the frontispiece. End pages are free of any signatures, bookplates, or library markings. There were about a dozen or so pages that had light pencil lines in the outside border, these were easily erased with no residue though there still may be a page or two that were missed. The rear end page has a small tear along the bottom edge.
