About the Author

Van Sheets has participated in leadership transitions in varied institutions, including as co-chair of the successful 2015-16 rector transition of his church. He has been active in churches in four US time zones, including as a senior warden in San Francisco, California and Dallas, Texas. He has served as a corporate CEO and currently leads a social enterprise that brings high quality pre-school learning to economically disadvantaged children. He earned an AB from Duke University and an MBA from Harvard University.
