The Recursion: The Unwritten, Book Two

Every move he makes to escape his fate is the very thing that causes it.

Off the edge of the written world, in the frayed margins no one bothers to record, Cole Merrick is trying to disappear. But the future has a way of closing around those who run from it, and Cole is learning the oldest cruelty of prophecy firsthand: every step he takes to avoid what is coming is the step that brings it.

As the loop tightens and the people he trusts are pulled into the pattern, Cole realizes he cannot outrun a story that has already accounted for his flight. To break the recursion, he will have to stop running — and turn to face the hand that writes it.

The Recursion is the relentless second book of The Unwritten. Every move to avoid it causes it.
