The present volume deals with 195 threatened taxa of Indian flora. The presentation of information in the date sheets included in this volume is on the lines followed in the earlier volumes. In the introduction to the first volume the present editors while mentioning the urgency and need to publish these volumes have also provided the IUCN Red Data Book Categories and some other information on the extinction of species and concept of rarity of plants for use in writing Red Data Sheets by different experts working on various plant groups families genera and on flora rich areas. To this within the scope of the editors efforts have been made to bring uniformity in the presentation of the data sheets as far as possible. However scope still exists for improvement. It is accordingly emphasized that these publications are meant to provide forewarning on plants in need for conservation. 272 pp.
