Red Kin (The Martian Hunger)

Mars was never empty.

Dr. Talia Renn has spent her life keeping people alive inside Ares Junction, one of humanity’s first permanent colonies on Mars. The settlement is old, patched, and full of secrets, but it is still home.

Then a maintenance worker is brought into her med-bay intact, peaceful, and biologically emptied.

His death should be impossible. His records are rewritten before she can finish the report. The evidence vanishes. And when Talia’s own blood reacts to something found inside the body, the truth begins opening beneath her feet.

Something ancient has been sleeping under Mars.

Not dead. Waiting.

As the civilian transport Odyssey Dawn approaches with thousands of new settlers, Talia and security investigator Mateo Vale uncover a hidden war between two Martian factions: one that sees humans as food, and one that sees them as the key to restoring a dying world.

Both sides know what Talia is before she does.

Red Kin.

Part human. Part Martian. Built from love, desperation, and a secret no one meant her to survive.

Now the colony wants her contained, the First Hunger wants her opened, and the Second Bloom wants to use her before their enemies can. But Talia was not born to be a weapon. She was not born to be a door.

And if Mars is going to wake, she will decide what it wakes into.

Red Kin is a character-driven sci-fi horror thriller about alien survival, colony secrets, body horror, identity, and the terrible cost of becoming the bridge between two hungry worlds.
