The accounts in this book are vivid, soberly honest and clear-eyed recollections of the Spanish civil war. Shelfwear to covers, light stain on back cover; former owner's name in black ink on free front end paper. Several light stains to top and bottom edges. Otherwise a clean and sound copy of this book; no other writing, highlighting, odors, stains, tears or folds. Proceeds from this sale benefit the Multnomah County Library in Portland, Oregon. This is not an ex-library book.

We provide supplemental funding for library programs and services, and sponsor activities which engage people who value our library. One of the main fundraising activities of our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization is the sale of donated books, and since our founding in 1972, Friends of the Library has contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to support our libraries via such sales.

Shipping terms
For orders in the USA we charge $4.99 shipping for the first book, $1.00 for each additional book; books are sent via USPS Media Mail. We package securely. Priority Mail orders are $19.99 for the first book, $5.00 for each additional book. Larger and heavier books or sets, especially those being sent outside the USA, may require an extra shipping charge. We will try to contact you if there is an extra charge for heavier books.
