About this title

Synopsis

""Red-Tape and Pigeon-Hole Generals"" is a first-hand account of a campaign in the Army of the Potomac during the American Civil War, written by A Citizen Soldier. The book provides a critical perspective on the leadership and organization of the Union army, particularly the bureaucratic inefficiencies and political maneuvering that hindered its success. The author, who served as a soldier in the ranks, provides vivid descriptions of the battles and hardships faced by the men on the front lines, as well as their frustration with the distant and detached generals who seemed more concerned with their own careers than with winning the war. Through his personal experiences and observations, A Citizen Soldier offers a valuable insight into the realities of war and the challenges faced by those who fought in it.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
